Kandlhofer | POP-UP

Galerie Kandlhofer is pleased to open a pop-up exhibition with 20 artists from nine different nations in Velden am Wörthersee (Seecorso 42) on 8 July for the coming summer months up to September 2nd 2023.

 

The Kandlhofer Gallery's Summer Pop-Up deliberately focuses on a previously unseen compilation of sculptures by international female artists such as Estrid Lutz, Nana Mandl, Hannah Perry, Irena Posner, Alina Kunitsyna and Maruša Sagadin.

 

This multi-layered selection of sculptural works is juxtaposed with paintings and drawings by national and international artists from 9 different nations. The thematic anchor point of the exhibition lies in reflections on the perception of materiality both as a physically tangible aspect and on the sensations associated with physicality.

 

The unusual showroom (the redesigned Strandbude Morak)houses a fusion of a cross-section of the gallery's programme and artists' positions specifically invited to Velden for the pop-up exhibition.
